If you’re not yet sick of hearing us say it let me
say it again.

The goal of all internet marketing is to build a
massive data base of people who are interested in
the product or service you have to offer.

When someone has visited your website they are a
high quality lead and, therefore, you really want
to capture their name and eMail address before
they leave your site.

One way to do this is by making sure you have an
opt-in box on every single page of your website.

Sure, most clubs have an opt-in box to receive a
newsletter on the home page but that’s it.

Big mistake.

Your web designer put your opt-in box into a
shared border for your home page so it will come
up on every single other page.

And you want to make sure it isn’t some tiny
little box that is hidden in or near a graphic
that no one can find.

Make sure it’s visible and make sure you give the
visitor one or more compelling reasons to sign up.

That is, what’s the benefit to them? Maybe it’s
get the newsletter but better yet is get our
newsletter that has monthly coupon specials to
local health and fitness retailers!

Think about it, your opt-in box is just as much a
sales letter as your advertising pieces — you
have to sell them on giving you their name.

Now, some of you may be saying, “But I don’t want
to aggravate the visitor with an opt-in box on
every page.” That is a web designer viewpoint.

An internet marketer knows the value of a name on
a list and says, “Hey, if this opt-in box causes
them to not stay on my site then I’m not going to
worry about it.”

Until next time,
